There are a couple of wrestling opportunities coming up that I feel we need to be looking at.

The first is a quick camp/wrestling event that includes mostly wrestling. It is Friday night fights and a competition hammer camp on Saturday and Sunday. This is offered by Purler and it close to St. Louis. It is the weekend of Oct 15th thru Oct 17th. I know football is a conflict on Friday night so that takes some kids out. The competition hammer camp is on the weekend and doesn’t start until like 10 so that is a possibility. I am willing to take some kids and drop off Friday night and pick up Sunday if needed. We must have a group in order for me to do that though. Here is the link. Copy and paste into browser.

The other is preseason nationals in Des Moines. I feel this is a must for some of our guys. It is a great kick start to the season. This event is Friday October 29th through Sunday October 31st. Your schedule is not all 3 days. Depending on your age and group determines your wrestling weigh ins and wrestling. I will attach a link to view the information. We have done this multiple years and it is a great start to your season. Again I may be able to attend on Friday and Saturday of this event. Sunday I am leaving town so I can’t be there Sunday.

The last opportunity is for our Lady Wrestlers. This is open wrestling for girls only on Sunday nights beginning September 12th. This is an expensive way to get more girls interested and giving wrestling a try and get our current female wrestlers ready for the season. It is every Sunday from 5-6:15 and only 5.00 to participate. So girls grab a friend and go give it a shot to help recruit more females to our team. Here is the link for more info.
