Thank you and thoughts

All
As I sit and reflect on the last few days wrestling in Vegas I have a few thoughts I would like to share with you all.

First
My sincere most heartfelt thank you to so many of you for the messages and support. I found out a group of you watched me together and I know others have watched and commented on what Brittney posted. I spend so much time supporting you guys and to feel that same support back made me tear up a little bit yesterday.

Second
I am sorry to so many of you kids. When I told you just do what you know. I forgot how easy it is to lose yourself during a match. It has become more apparent to me as a coach that how we practice is how we wrestle. WE need to practice the way we want to wrestle. WE need to step up that aspect of our room.

Third
We don’t need a huge amount of moves. We need 2-3 that are unstoppable. 2-3 that we practice daily and demand perfection out of. WE will make this a priority going forward. Those moves do not need to be the same for each of us but we need to demand that level out of ourselves and each other.

Forth
I don’t think you kids understand the family that is wrestling. I seriously stood next to my high school coach during weigh ins. I wrestled back to back on the same mat with the man that developed my love for this sport. The master’s level stretching from 30-78 years and we all talked about technique, strategy, where we were from. Who was with us. It was a family style love that you don’t see in other sports or activities. If you trust in the process and you put yourself into this sport it gives you more than you will ever be able to repay. I forgot this to an extent but this week reminded me.

Five
I love this sport more each time I compete. I am back and will be competing for a long time. I got messages right before my last match each day from people from the team. Each of those messages from you kids made me know that I am doing some level of right in my life and I love this team and community. Thank you all again for the support. I am not going anywhere and will continue to lead from the from competing for as long as my body (and wife lol) allow me.

Love this team more each day

Coach Rob
